
Dr. Rachel Russo was raised in Peabody, Massachusetts and knew since the age of 5 years old that she wanted to become a veterinarian. She completed her undergraduate work at the College of the Holy Cross where she majored in Biology. Dr. Russo received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. This was followed by a small animal internship at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists in Rhode Island. Prior to starting at Bulger Veterinary Hospital in 2008, Dr. Russo worked as an emergency and general practitioner at Roberts Animal Hospital on the south shore of MA.
Dr. Russo’s professional interests include preventative medicine and internal medicine. Dr. Russo resides in Middleton with her husband and two children. Her pet family includes Vegas, an orphan kitten she adopted in veterinary school and a Labradoodle named Izzy.
